1994 Hyundai Sonata CDi review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Where do I start?
Exhaust 6 weeks after purchase.
Stepper motor at 40,000 miles.
Temperature control valve at 40,000.
Head gasket and two new valves at 80,000.
Heater vents at 90,000.
Gearbox at 100,000.
Speedo at 109,000.
Track rod end at 100,000.
Sunroof at 120,000.
Rear electric windows at 130,000.
Front drivers window at 140,000.
Drivers door handle at 180,000.
Another gearbox at 200,000.
And new headlamp retaining clips about every 20,000 miles, I think that's it for now.
General comments?
Generally I love this car, although a lot has been done to it over the past 3 years, it has proven to be extremely reliable only ever letting me down once, all other times it has kept going.
Fuel economy is great and it is a very comfortable car for long drives.
I would recommend one of these cars to anyone who has a lot of mileage to do.
