1984 Audi Coupe GT review from North America
"Don't let the miles pile to high up"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced rotors.
Holes in the exhaust.
Minor rust.
Alternator went bad.
Basic wear and tear.
General comments?
Bought this car for $400 for basic transportation to school for the following semester. After a few thousand miles and already putting a few hundred dollars into it, the CV started to click. The next day the whole CV broke and I needed to replace the entire driveshaft. Considering the mileage and the fact that I was the fourth owner of the car, I was surprised that more things didn't go wrong. The car pulled descently and handling was better than my 93 civic hatchback. I had no problems with the electronics either, which seem to plague most older audis.
