1995 Peugeot 205 Junior review from UK and Ireland
"Modern looks and build for less"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Most things wrong were the result of neglect from the previous owner (my Auntie)
Most annoying problem when I got it was an extremely rough/hesitant acceleration. Bought and hooked up a diagnostic computer which showed nothing. Took out the injector and found the injector filter was partially blocking the injector inlet. I think this is an extremely bad build quality problem and would have cost an arm and leg to fix in a garage.
Original suspension was extremely soft. Replaced with OE 1.6 springs and shocks. Worked a treat!
Was broken into with relative ease once, so I have fitted a TOAD alarm.
General comments?
Extremely good fuel economy compared to my previous car ('89 1.3 Polo)!
New parts are dirt cheap from G.S.F.
Still a very modern looking car that is easily adaptable for I.C.E. and security.
