1986 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 review from North America
"One of the most well built cars of the 80's"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the water pump.
I also had to replace two thermostats.
After that the fuel pump went bad.
General comments?
This car has been very good to me.
Despite the few parts that I had to replace, it still has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. She starts right up every day. I just keep up on routine maintenance. (change the oil, tune ups, etc.) I have taken good care of her, and she takes good care of me.
This car is also impressively quick for an 80's car. She's never been quick of the line, (0-60 in about 7 seconds),but she makes up the difference in a 1/4 mile. (about 14.5 seconds.) Of course I can't say that she's all stock. I put flowmaster exhaust on from the (cat) back, threw in a K&N air filter, and she also has an accel ignition system. (Cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.) In the near future more modifications will be done.
