2001 Kish Khodro Sinad II LXi 1.6L MPFI 8v from Iran

Summary:

Exclusive, Fast, Enjoyable, Safe, Good Price

Faults:

1- The noises from interior of cabin are high & if you are a sensitive person, this matter could annoy you.

2- The exhaust manifold needs more thorough fastening & springs to keep it stable, especially when releasing clutch for start of moving.

3- Just be careful about your engine cooling system, not any more. Of course I didn't find any problems with my car, but the most important in my periodical engine check-up is the water level in engine's expansion tank.

4- Because of it's special design & class, selling of this car is not easily.

General Comments:

Well, if I want to describe my car for you in just one sentence, I can say : "Exclusive car, with enjoyable handling, fast engine, low fuel consumption, high safety, and big interior cabin."

I had many other cars before it, and I absolutely can say this car is the most exciting one I have ever bought.

It's price is really good for it's equipment.

The engine is similar to Renault Megan 1998.

The body is made by composite materials & this technology gives the body lower weight & higher resistance in accidents.

Because of it's low body weight & high chassis weight, the center of gravity point approaches to the earth, & this matter gives this car higher stability in driving.

The engine is powerful enough for it's body, the stability of car is really high level, and finally, you will feel safety & comfort when driving it.

1999 Kish Khodro Sinad LXI K7M 1.6L Renault megane ( 8v) from Iran

Summary:

Buyer should be rich and should know technical information about cars

Faults:

Interior noises that come from the dashboard and doors.

Screws of exhaust manifold would unscrew monthly, or every three months depending on your driving style. They should add some springs on them to make the exhaust pipe (that is static) separate from engine exhaust manifold (that is dynamic), and they would move when you release the clutch pedal.

80% of them have faulty electrical windows. They should use more powerful electric motors for those big side windows; still they use Peugeot 405 electric motors to move the side windows, and they are too weak.

They must add height adjustment for the front seats because they are too short.

General Comments:

A nice roomy car, and really has space for 5 adults, and even you can make it something like van.

Cool air conditioning system.

Enjoyable to drive.

Stuck to the earth (it's difficult to make it upside-down).

Very comfortable and easy to use gearbox.

Reliable brakes.

The engine turns on really easily, even in cold mornings in winters.

The maximum speed that I could reach was 170 km/hour with no passengers, but there was a headwind. They have written in their website that it is capable of 187 km/hour.

In total, it is fast and full of enjoyment; you can't compare its handling with any other car in this price range in Iran.

2001 Kish Khodro Sinad socks 1.6L from Iran

Summary:

A modern engine among Iranian cars

Faults:

The most important problem is not having good after sale service. Because of its bad looks, you cannot sell it easily.

General Comments:

This car is powered by a Renault Megane engine.

Acceptable space has been provided.

I think this is the best car for families in Iran because it is economical, but provides almost everything you want.

Because of its bad exterior it does not have a high price. If you do not mind how your car looks and you only want to have a good car, I suggest you to buy it.

2003 Kish Khodro Sinad Coupe 1.5L 4 cylinder from Iran

Summary:

A good Iranian car...

Faults:

Nothing, it was a test drive.

General Comments:

First, I will begin by saying that this is not my car; I rented it when I visited Iran.

Anyway, this car is one of the best Iranian-built cars (that's right, Iran does build cars) on the market there. It comes in two body styles: hatchback and coupe.

Only a couple of years ago, the only cars seen on Iranian roads was the ancient and unrefined Paykan. Rivers of these rebadged Hillman Hunters (remember those old 70's cars?) flowed through the country. Now, things are starting to improve with the new Samand, on sale, and the Sinad. The Samand is a car that was built with the help of French corporations. It is much better than the Paykan, but it can't compete with American autos. There are other cars sold in Iran too, like Renault and Nissans.

Kish Khodro?

I have never heard of it. I never knew Iran built cars, but as we say in America, "I learn something new every day."

Iranian cars have improved in the last 10 years. We now sell Samand, which is 90% Iranian made and 10% french made, to Russia, Syria, Ukraine, Egypt, Senegal, Pakistan and UAE, and many other countries around the world. The company that makes it is called Iran Kodro, which is the biggest car company in the Middle East and in the Islamic world, and second in Asia after Japanese made companies. But Iranian cars are really coming to the world, and in 10 years time they will be all over the world.

I just had a look on the website out of curiosity. The Veek is based on a Renault Megane Scenic- I don't know why they changed the front bumper as the original design by Renault looks a lot better.

As for the coupe, I'm sorry to say it, but I think it's one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen. It looks like a childs drawing turned into a bar of soap, people washed their hands a few times and the new mould was used for the car. Really awful design.

If Iranian cars did take over the world, I would take the bus- or walk. : (
