1980 Chevrolet Silverado review from North America
"Excellent truck!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced master cylinder in 2002.
General comments?
The most dependable vehicle I have owned. It's a long wheel base pickup with no shell. Other than some minor body damage, it's in great shape.
The seat has a tear in it, but nothing too serious.
The exhaust needs to be replaced.
The engine has no leaks at all. At every oil change, it is always full.
The transmission has a very small leak at the rear main seal.
Probably my only complaint about this truck is that the gas tank is on the passenger side.
Unless you build a very thin cabinet, speakers behind the seat present a problem, forcing you to pull the seat up until the steering wheel is in your stomach.
It has the original rally rims that came with the truck in 1980, and the original size tires.
