1994 Daihatsu Charade De Tomaso review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good value for money, and fast"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers seat wearing out very rapidly.
The rear suspension is very noisy, rattly even.
Electric mirrors not working to full extent, also had problems with behind dashboard wire loom,Bzzzzzz.
Rear wiper arm rusted to pieces.
Door handles are fragile and will snap quite easily.
General comments?
Keeps on the heels of much bigger cars as well as a few of those Familias.
Runs low 14s on the strip.
Very pleased with the performance of such a small car that has a lot of potential.
I lowered it on 15s KYB springs and it has a modified muffler 2 1/4 inch pipe and a large KnN air filter.
Stock it was 93kw, now around 102kw.
