1995 Renault Megane Coupe review from Sweden

I think Mégane is a very reliable car. Few things have gone wrong.

Rear electric windows mechanism/engine stopped to work. Usually possible to repair rather easily. It gets bad connection because of verdigris. Just polish the connectors and solder them a little and it will work again!

Battery changed once.

Wheel bearings changed once, maybe faster worn because of my big wheels.

Driving shaft gaiter on one side changed once.

Water pump changed once.

Except for service according to the service manual, that´s all in almost 50000 kilometers and 6 years!

I love this car!

Mostly because it drives like a dream and accelerates fast and fun.

Both acceleration and top speed is really good.

100% pure amusement on roads with little curves, it handles so well!

Consumption; you can drive this car both with economy and fun! But as always the more fun you have the more money you will spend. Although it´s definitively worth it!

The looks of this car still makes my heart beat faster. It attracts both men and women, old and young people, and makes them turn their heads with excitement in their eyes.

Sporty, nice and fun design. The ellipse-design thinking is very nice, and you can find it throughout both interior and exterior. Nice!

The trunk space is good, considered it´s a rather small sports coupé. Although the opening to the trunkspace is rather small.

I think a full grown person wouldn´t want to go touring Europe from the backseat of a Mégane Coupé. Great comfort in the front seats, but for an adult the space in the backseat is a bit to small for long journeys.

However, Mégane Coupé has so many wonderful features that it´s definitively worth sacrificing a little bit backseat- and trunk space!
