1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara review from North America
"Fun vehicle, but not to be confused with your mother's Expedition"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Leak under dashboard when it rained; diagnosed as a faulty windshield gasket and allegedly fixed twice by two different dealerships, needless to say it still leaked up until the day I got rid of it.
Computer chip "fried" after having the vehicle only a year, had to trade-in the vehicle because it was going to cost more to have it fixed than the vehicle was worth.
General comments?
Overall, I enjoyed my first Wrangler experience and I am currently looking to buy my second.
I took it off-roading on a couple of occasions where it performed well, except for my run in with a mud pit that required the aid of a Chevy truck to get me out (which was more of my fault than a failure to perform by the vehicle).
I have never owned a Jeep with a 2.5L 4 Cyl., but I would suggest going with a Sport or Sahara if for no other reason than the power that they have due to their 4.0L 6 Cyl. Even with that amount of power, it still sometimes struggled with inclines and head winds.
Don't expect to carry on a conversation while driving, but instead invest in a good stereo and soundbar. It is not abundant in the creature comfort department, nor is it meant to be. It is a rugged, loud, and most important, a fun vehicle to own and drive.
