1985 Suzuki Sierra JX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great if you want/need a small (tiny) 4WD"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head Gasket - blew 3 days after buying car.
Rear Main Seal - went 3 hours after getting car back from new head gasket.
Clutch - was slipping due to oil leakage from rear main.
Auto Choke - disconnected, had to be hooked up.
Hot Idle Compensator - engine stalls at low revs when hot.
Starter Motor - new bushes, brushes and armature.
General comments?
Astonishing performance from a 1300.
Great off-road except low range a little too high, rock-hopper gears would be good.
Handles very well.
Extremely cheap on fuel.
Bumpy ride in mine, but that could be cause of aftermarket shock absorbers.
