1997 Ford Puma Lux Pack review from UK and Ireland

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Lower window seal has swollen.
Parcel shelf falls off.0
The remote locking sometimes doesn't work.
General comments?
This car has been great fun! It is very nippy and just keeps astounding me with how well it takes corners. Just when you start to regret taking a corner so fast, turn the wheel some more and it doesn't spin or slip it just turns harder!
The interior is stylish and practical
with the exception of early models where the cigarette lighter is in the ash tray. Seats are firm and snug. Rear passengers aren't a problem either, I am six foot and am quite happy as a rear passenger.
There are some niggles, such as the parcel shelf falling off all the time and water pouring straight off the boot lid and into the boot when lifted at normal speeds. The paintwork can rust quickly if scratched and there is a spot in the open corner of each door that seem to turn orange no matter what you do? It can be a pain, but you forgive it for being such fun.
The running costs aren't bad either, I get 35MPG on average and I live in town.
Overall this has been the best car I have had, bundles of fun to drive, safe and cheap to own... what more could I ask?
