1984 Chevrolet S-10 review from North America
"Can't complain about it since it was free"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine threw a rod at less than 100,000 mile, replaced with new factory engine.
Transmission has been rebuilt 3 times.
Other normal wear- alternator, brakes, engine leaks, radiator leaks, tires, etc. but what would one expect after all the miles/years.
Speedometer is broken and can't quit seem to get it fixed.
General comments?
Driven daily, round trip to work is 160 miles on I-95 in the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area.
Hand-me-down from my father, requires more maintenance because of age and mileage, but is reliable.
Body has held up well, very little rust.
Was going to pass on to one of my sons, but am now having second thoughts.
