1982 AMC Eagle SX/4 review from North America
"My favorite Eagle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Only minor things have gone bad, through age mostly, such as front axle vacuum motor and master and slave clutch cylinders.
The air injection tube manifold has rusted out (though the exhaust "growl" makes for a "beefier" sound)
The seats sit too low, and the seats don't recline.
General comments?
The SX/4 has a sporty look and feel; it gets it's share of compliments and is fun to drive.
Because of the weight distribution, the rear brakes tend to lock up too easily, and the four wheel drive feature is a necessity in snow.
