1996 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"Good for the show, but not for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My radiator got replaced at 90,000 miles.
The car stalled in warm weather.
Replaced, breaks, pads, struts, springs, motor mounts, ERG sensor and the serpentine belt several times.
The transmission fluid always leaked into the radiator fluid.
Head Gasket Blew at 104,000 miles.
The ride was very rocky and unstable. You can feel every crack in the road.
The paint started peeling off on the hood at 100,000 miles. Just a little touch-up paint could do the trick.
General comments?
The car was very reliable. It started every morning even in the coldest weather.
The interior is just like new and the seats are very comfortable. Very roomy and allot of trunk space.
I enjoyed the center console that tucked away between the two seats in the front.
I loved the heat and air it put out. If the ride was not comfortable, Ford made sure you were comfortable else where.
