1990 Dodge Colt GT review from North America
"Fun car to drive, but stay away this will give you a head ache"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
CV joints broke after 143,000.
Brakes every 20,000 kilometers.
Needed new ball joints at 16,000 (this is not cheap seeing they are 1 peace with the control arm)
Blew a cylinder wall from the third to four cylinder wall at 175,000 (the first of three engines)
General comments?
This was a very fun car to drive once you put some real sized tires on it. Not the little tiny dough nuts that it comes with. After that change that car handled like glue to the road with its low center of gravity.
Exelent on gas (500 plus km's on 28 liters).
Blind spots are non existent. You can get a great view of anything around you.
Everyone I talked to had all the same problems that I came across. 200,000 kms was a treat for everyone as that's when they go all to hell.
