1996 Opel Corsa B ECO review from Portugal
"Relliability and Quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cooling Systems was a bit rust and limestone contaminated. This was easily solved at home and is runing OK ever since.
General comments?
If there was any problem ever since I got this car, I'm the one to blame. I'm completely impassioned for auto mechanics and this vehicle is somehow different from what it was when I bought it. Changes include : higher (or correct) 5th rapport gear, front sway bar, alarm unit, among others. This has been done using Opel parts.
In the overall it's very easy to drive, quick and good handling, although the rear end my scare you on rainy days.
Engine noise tends to be unpleasant.
Interior is very quality acceptable.
About 900Km of fuel autonomy, which I find interesting.
Misses a lower RPM peak efficiency Turbo-compressor as available in later cars of this model ,where turbo peak efficiency is available at 2000rpm against 2500rpm .
I would not buy another Corsa. From what i have seen on today's Opel vehicles, i would definitelly go for another brand, maybe Peugeot or Renault or a japanese brand.
