1992 Isuzu Rodeo XS review from North America
"Not too bad for as many miles"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator had a small hole when purchased
Idler pulley went out at 125K and 180K
Transmission went out at 180K
Numerous hoses and wireing replaced due to 3 fires from transmission fluid spewing out.
General comments?
The thing wasn't too bad till the transmission started going out first it made some noise when going from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Then a few miles later when put into drive it would start out in 3rd gear so you would have to start out in second and at the same time it wouldn't go into 1st on its own I also lost over drive all together. I have flushed it and replaced the filter. That didn't help. Then I went on to check all the wiring and its all in tact. I think that now its just time to get a new car and put this one out to pasture. It wasn't in too bad of shape for being in a high speed chase after someone stole and drove on the rims for 2 miles there was no damage done there that I could tell. Next time I will know better and just buy a ford.
