1998 Suzuki Mehran review from Pakistan
"A low performance car, but costly compared with other hatchbacks delivering so much more.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brakes are totally inefficient. The body weight/braking force ratio is inappropriate. The cars skids under heavy braking.
Specially, the brake pads fail to work if they get wet such as passing through a big puddle/pool of water during rains.
Had an accident with another car, a Honda Civic VTI Oriel at a surprisingly low speed because it was drizzling and the car wouldn't stop in time!!!
General comments?
The braking system needs to be redesigned with highest priority. Now with many cars on the roads with improved braking systems and equipped with Anti-lock braking etc, one cannot afford to have such cars on the roads.
