1988 Audi 80 S review from UK and Ireland

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Valve Stem oil seals @115000 miles. Have had 3xCarburettor mounting Gaskets @75/115 and 150000 miles till I fitted my own type support bracket.
Front wheel bearings @190000.
2xFront brake Flexi hoses @193000.
2x Rear wheel bearings @ 195000.
2x Bottom Ball joints on front Wishbones @ 202000 miles.
O/S/F Strut insert failed @220000 miles.
Fitted first new brake pipe to rear last MOT.
General comments?
This car I think has been the backbone for Audi's success. Never once has it ever failed to start, or failed in any way as for it never to have got me home.
Yes, things have broke or worn out, but you expect that. In its earlier days it used to cover over 20000 miles per year, for a family car!I think it is very comfortable, safe, reliable and built to go on-and-on!I would also like to mention the fact that to date, at 225000 miles on the clock (and in semi-retirement!) it "still"has the original Clutch fitted!!Any advances on that?
