1992 Chrysler Fifth Avenue review from North America
"A classy looking highway cruiser"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just had the battery replaced and a tire plugged, but that's it.
The vinyl roof is deteriorating and the dash is raised from the cowling; both most likely due to sun damage. I don't think previous owner ever garaged it.
Driver's side door panel loosening; will need to address.
General comments?
A great highway cruiser. Comfortable; easy to sit in for long trips. Automatic headlights and autodimming rear view mirror are nice touches.
Cheapo replacement tires on the car at purchase plus ride-biased suspension make cornering interesting. You guide it more than steer it.
Trunk is deep but a little shallow. Lid opens well out of the way and is nicely counterbalanced. Back seat room exceptional.
