1985 GMC 1/2 Ton truck review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
She received a new transmission, just before I bought it.
I replaced the Carborator and got a smoother ride.
I have also replaced the starter a couple of times.
Other than regular maintenance, example Brakes, Muffler, and Battery, etc.
There have been no major repairs.
General comments?
With the wind chill factor, it gets pretty cold around here in the winter -
30 - 40 below zero.
Not once has the ole girl let me down!
She has started every morning.
I've never had any problems hauling or towing ANYTHING!! (even over the limit loads)
She has a thirst for the petro, but all thoes V8's do.
The only complaint that I really have is that the quality of the metal that it was built with stinks, I am forever fixing the surface rust.
