What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problem was that the water temperature is usually higher compared to Nissan for example, but that is the same even with new Peugeot's.
General comments?
This car is a very reliable, very cost efficient, very useful and very comfortable car. You can drive for 1000 kilometers in it on one day and not get very tired. It never puts you down, and it will never need mechanical repair for the engine, the transmission, or other major mechanical parts. Having this car for 25 years makes you realize what trust really means. I would say it is an excellent car just like Mercedes Benz 280 S.
