2002 Ford F250 review from Australia and New Zealand
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front seal bearing went at 95000klm after dealer ordered a seal Ford sent the wrong one had to wait another 2 days to get the right seal very inconvenient when traveling interstate on business and require the vehichle to be fixed so I can finish transporting my goods before travelling 2500klms back home.
At 13600klms clutch bearing gives way
similar scenario only 2 clutch bearings available in the whole of Australia and found them in a garage in far North Queensland had to reassemble the gear box for work commitments 5500klms
later and back home quotation to fix not including labour just supply of parts only
Clutch and Pressure Plate $1100.00
Primary Shaft $2100
Secondary Shaft$2000
Costly exercise indeed considering my previous 60 series land cruiser at 326000klms never caused this amount of problems even with offroad use.
General comments?
Great Truck
Handles well on the road
Very comfortable for long distance driving
Be wary of lack of parts availability
For this type of vehicle
