1995 Nissan 200SX SX review from North America

"I would never buy this car again"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

My starter has gone bad two times.

Both CV joint boots have had to be replaced.

The power steering pump has had numerous hose leaks.

The transmission speed shift sensor has quit working.

There is a reocurring thumping sound coming from the brakes that no one seems to be able to figure out.

The torque converter had to be replaced.

The turn signals keep short circuiting and bliink really fast sometimes.

The carpet on the floor has not held up well.

The door handle broke off in my hand.

General comments?

The car has absolutely no power, it feels like it can't even get out of it's own way or make it up a hill of any size with out some major down shifting on the transmission's part.

The car does handle very well even in the snow, probably partially due to it's huge lack of power and inability to spin a tire if it wanted to.

This car to me has seemed like a huge money pit the parts haven't been cheap and the torque converter was pretty expensive.

The interior of this car leaves much to be desired. The seats are very very uncomfortable on long trips. They have no lumbar support and are as hard as a rock. The steering tilt wheel hardly tilts about an inch or so. The cruise control is on the dashboard (what's up with that) which makes it inconvenient to find at night with out turning on the overhead light. The backseats have no leg room at all with the seats in the back position however, comfort wise they seem OK.

The AC is more than adequate to cool the car even on hot summer days, but the defrost heater never seems to work very well. In order to get it to work you must turn the blower on full blast, crank the heat as high as you can get it and turn the AC on at the same time and leave it that way during the trip or the windows will fog back up so quick it's not even funny. Needles to say it really sucks in the summer time and it's more convenient to just roll the windows down.
