What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission would not shift into OD, turned out to be the Throttle Position Sensor, which was something like $300, but the previous owner obviously neglected the truck and there were quite a few things that just "weren't right." The wiring on the thing was a nightmare, and the initial tranny work cost over $700 to work out, but it seemed to be primarily neglect that caused the failure.
General comments?
Strong, strong truck. Dana 70 in the front. Speaks for itself and the Cummins engine is legendary. Dodge didn't do so great a job on the details, electrical is constantly falling apart, windows not working, that sort of thing. But the truck is for working and hauling. I would recommend a tranny upgrade to anyone looking to do heavy hauling with it, or you'll wind up with a transmission that can't handle the output of the beefy engine.
