1986 Nissan Maxima base model review from North America
"Hard to keep up with"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust system, starter, both cvaxels, struts all around, power steering hose (recent),batterey.
General comments?
Reliable for a twenty year old car. i bought it two years ago for 950$.the owner said it was sitting for four years and it needed an exhaust. when I was able to drive the car on the highway I noticed the overdrive did'nt work. it would hesitate to accelerate sometimes or would'nt work at all. the tranny shifts fine, but I think it needs mounts. the motor is the best thing on the car and never had a problem with it. the parts for this car is expensive and the labor is rediculious.I'm in the market for a well keep 92-94 model hopefully without the tranney problems. also this car is reliable and would recommend for a first driver and could someone help me with this tranney problem.
