1987 Lamborghini LM002 review from North America
"The untamed and capable off-road...Lamborghini"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought this beast in late May of 2006, and so far nothing has gone wrong with it.
General comments?
I am what you would call a die-hard off road enthusiast that is not at all afraid to take icons off road... it's my life. It's odd to say that the near 1000 miles that I have put on the LM002 is mostly off-road. I currently own 2 land rovers, and a Jeep Cj-5 (which I use for competitions) and am proud to say that this lamborghini, of all things, is my favorite to use off road. It is actualy quite capable, but almost has too much power and inspires a lot of unwanted wheel spin. The first time I took it off road, I was laughed at, but by the end of the day, I was marveled. ironic, eh? But, on the road this thing is like no other. It's quite hard to describe the feeling of driving something so...awkward. The V-12 is sooo powerful and really does a good job of making this thing feel like a sports car. I tend to get some really strange stares while driving down the road, especially on the freeway when people see something of this calibur screaming past them. It's quite an experience.
The fuel consumption is absolutely outrageous, but it is an SUV with a V-12, so hey I can't really complain. I'll agree with the other reviewer of the lambo, the interior definately could have been designed better. It is awkward to say the least.
