1990 Daihatsu Applause HD-G review from Australia and New Zealand
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When launching from dead cold in 25 c. ambient, app 80-10M FROM STARTING POINT it goes lean like its run out of fuel during transition or low speed acceleration, but with slight warming before departure,-- 3 minute idle -- there is no problem.
During the lean stall, floor boarding the pedal will shoot it off like a rocket -- off the tacho if you like -- & no further problem until cold again. I cannot find any help anywhere with wiring diagrams or technical data on Coolant sensors to ECU.
What a great shame this wonderful line of small vehicles with horse hearts has been snatched off our Australian market by Toyota -- to eliminate a long life competitor. These things wear like an auctioneers tongue!!
