1998 Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo 2.0 5 cylinder turbo

Summary:

Performance bargain!

Faults:

Front brake hoses needed replacing.

Turbo hose split.

General Comments:

Great performance! People don't know what it is, which is great.

Leather seats have poor support. Asked for a replacement turbo hose from dealer - and they said it is no longer made.

Parts for the Fiat Coupe are widely available all over the Internet, do a search, plenty of turbo hoses available, do a search :)

1996 Fiat Coupe 16v 2.0 16v

Summary:

Like an Italian model. Lovely to look at, but high maintenance

Faults:

Gearbox reconditioned.

Oil pressure gauge has its own ideas about what the pressure is.

Headlight adjustment motor seized.

Stepper motor (car keeps stalling).

Eats at least one rear light bulb per month. (I think this is a Fiat quirk, my old Uno did the same)

General Comments:

When it's working I love driving this car. Comfortable, quick enough (but not so much that my licence is in serious jeopardy), and smooth.

However, it does seem to like visiting the dealer regularly (who are, I must admit, very good-but they should be, parts are expensive)

Handling nice, but nothing like my Peugeot.

Did you purchase this car in Australia or import it directly from Europe. If so where abouts from and how much were import taxes etc?

Chances are he lives in New Zealand- the car was sold new there for about 5 years- there are plenty of examples kicking around.
