1967 Ford Fairmont 250 Pre Crossflow

Summary:

Good, reliable, safe car

Faults:

Shortly after I got the car, I blew up the exhaust pipe because the carburetor was in need of reconditioning.

I've had to replace the radiator, but that was because I forgot the screw (the air filter one) and the fan blade drove it through it.

Needs a new roof lining, but that will be done.

Carpet has been replaced.

General Comments:

Very reliable, fuel cost is not too bad for a car of its age and engine size. Steering and braking (which is power assisted) are surprisingly light also.

Parts are readily available and very cheap.

The hardest things to get are little things like chrome fittings and horn rings etc.

Has a nice deep note to the engine and is quick off the mark.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
