1986 Holden Drover qb 1.3 unleaded

Summary:

Great off road bargain if you can find one

Faults:

Radiator might have leaks.

Interior is not very comfortable.

Shock absorbers are in bad condition.

Body is damaged on one side due to a rollover.

Seats have worn badly.

Window seals are breaking.

Some electrics don't work, example: some interior lights.

General Comments:

The Drover is a very reliable fuel miser and is great for going off road.

Inside it is very squashed up.

If you do not know what a Drover looks like, it is a Suzuki Sierra with a holden badge and a different front grille.

The engine is easy to get parts for because of numerous Sierras around.

Also parts of the Holden Gemini can be used for the motor.

1986 Holden Drover qb 1.3 unleaded

Summary:

Great fun off road

Faults:

The drover is a very reliable car and is heaps of fun for off road use. Some times it has trouble going into first gear, but other wise the car is perfect, also the air-conditioning is not the best. Otherwise I love my drover.

Another thing is that on road it has very dodgy handling.

General Comments:

Inside the cabin is a little bit squashy for big people, but its uses are perfect for off road. it has alot of grunt considering its small 1.3 motor and it also has a 5 speed gear box.

1985 Holden Drover 1.3 5 speed

Summary:

Good for 4WD fun

Faults:

The usual tyres, oil filter etc.

Sometimes the transfer case gets jammed in neutral, and I have to pull the 4WD gear stick out and then put it back in again before I can move.

General Comments:

Great reliable car.

Has a lot of power for a little 1.3 litre engine.

Lots of fun for 4WD in sand dunes.

A downside is that it has very rough handling on the road.
