2002 Hyundai Terracan

Summary:

Great

Faults:

Suggestion to all Hyunda Terracan owners - please ask your garage mechanic - to check your brake hoses at each service.

Just had the experience of a hose swelling and blowing - lucky it was only in the driveway.

General Comments:

Best vehicle I have ever owned.

Pity they do not have a dual cab, as I use this vehicle - for farm work in the paddocks, chasing cattle and sheep, and also as the family car each day, driving into the city.

2002 Hyundai Terracan 3.0

Summary:

Cheap and cheerful

Faults:

As of yet the satellite navigation failed, so it was replaced under its 5 year warranty.

General Comments:

All in all, it's a rugged, hard working AWD wagon. It may not look the best, but it does do its job, and well.

I have a 2003 V6 petrol bought at 65 kms. Now just over 100, bit thirsty so would have loved a bigger tank.

At 95 kms it threw a power O/L and blew and welded the crimped only ends of the wiring harness from the alternator - cost only A$300 to fix, except was very inconvenient, car died on freeway - Hyundai didn't even want to know about it (beyond warranty claims); auto sparkie on the Gold Coast had a dozen or so do the same at those kms.

Just a friendly warning guys, otherwise a good vehicle, but don't take it in the real steep rough or stony creeks, it'll be embarrassing; oh yes and the cruise control goes well mostly, but sometimes it doesn't, and has the sulks for a week or so!
