2002 Hyundai Trajet GLS World Cup 2.7

Summary:

Great car; perfect for 7 people

Faults:

Air conditioner, but was fixed under new car warranty.

Nothing else; dealer looked after me really good, and lent me another car for 3 days.

General Comments:

This car has been great; plenty of room, but it does tend to use a lot of petrol though.

We had the car for around 2 years; it was the 2.7 GLS World Cup version petrol.

I have a wife and 4 kids, and we just loved this car.

We only sold it because we no longer need 7 seats anymore.

But resale is no good; I don't know why.

2006 Hyundai Trajet V6 2.7

Summary:

Go and buy one!- research pays off, I did it

Faults:

Nothing so far. Still early days I guess, I am optimistic the car will keep on going fine.

General Comments:

The Fuel economy is fantastic for a V6. with ABS the car handles very well. The car was required to perform on an occasion, it did so well.

Family feels snug and safe inside, that is the important thing to me. Heaps of room and comfort was in mind when they designed this one. Pleasure to drive and look forward to starting up everyday.

The column shift make heaps of room vacant out of the would be console.

Keep up the good work Hyundai.

Just read your review and wondered if your Trajet is still going well? I am on the hunt for a people mover in a lower price bracket, but am concerned about some of the negative feedback I've read at this site. Have you used your Trajet for towing or did your research state whether it is possible to tow a small trailer (under 1000kg braked).

Thanks.

I too had a Trajet; it was a great car.

But when I went to sell it or trade it in, I found they have no resale value.

2000 Hyundai Trajet GSi 2.0 petrol

Summary:

It is a good vehicle with the wrong engine

Faults:

Driver seat had to be replaced in year two due to a damage in the spring.

The vehicle would pull to the left and wear tires too fast; this has been fixed.

Driving in the city can be quite expensive. A tankful burns in as low as 220 kilometers. When I am lucky it travels for 300 kilometers in my flat city. The dealer says the engine is fine, but I do not agree.

General Comments:

This vehicle steers very well and makes you feel in control all the time.

It has a fairly strong engine.

It burns as much gasoline as my 1980 5.7 V8 Pontiac Bonneville.

2000 Hyundai Trajet GL 2.7 V6

Summary:

Seemed good at the time, but now a dud

Faults:

Brakes squeak a lot, even after they went back to Hyundai 6 times.

Paint peeling off the side bars.

Drivers seat adjustment faulty.

Air conditioning unit freezing up.

General Comments:

This car started out well, however problems arose when it hit 35000kms.

Seats are comfortable (when they work ok).

Tows well, except it may be rubbing on the shock absorbers with weight in the back.
