2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK 200

Summary:

Fantastic

Faults:

Warning light faulty - fixed by dealer.

General Comments:

Absolutely superb. Unlike sports cars I've driven in the past, the ride is very smooth, but it still corners like it's on rails. It incites every young blood to drag at the lights, but it's a bit low on power for that. Everything about it is very well designed... and I'd never go back to rag tops!

The only negative is uncomfortable seating - no lumbar support and excessive rear dip on the seat base.

2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK 200

Summary:

Fantastic

Faults:

No faults.

General Comments:

Absolutely superb. Incredibly smooth to drive, but corners like it's on rails. A crowd pleaser. Folding roof is fantastic... far better than rag-tops. A lot of attention to detail in the car... even the windows drop a fraction to open and close doors. Seats a bit uncomfortable, no lumbar support. Rear visibility difficult when parking... maybe I'm just nervous.

1997 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor 2.3 4 cylinder Super Charged

Summary:

Convenience Vs Inconvenience

Faults:

The car roof rattles a lot when in motion.

The roof has become stuck half way in motion, (it was caught on a plastic tag) which was easily cut off with scissors.

Extremly small boot when the roof in down.

General Comments:

The car is seriously quick, and it can be thrown around a corner. I once drove it at about 70kph around a tight round-about, and it just hangs on.

Everything about the car is fantastic, apart from the rattling, and the extremly small boot.

Buy this car, for a bit of fun, with the convenience of a coupe'.
