2013 Nissan Pulsar SSS CVT 1.6 turbo

Summary:

Great car, spacious, powerful and efficient, but the FM radio reception is terrible

Faults:

Since new, the quality of the FM radio tuner is my biggest complaint. Whilst driving in the Melbourne CBD, the FM radio is intermittently scratchy and full of static/interference. However in the suburbs outside a 20km radius of Melbourne, the FM radio reception is brilliant and clear without any disruption. The SSS comes with sat nav and Bluetooth functionality.

I have never experienced this problem with any other make of vehicle. This is my first Nissan and the FM radio is terrible, where instead I use my smartphone radio app via the AUX port whilst driving within Melbourne.

The dealership act as if they have never had this complaint before. Has anyone else found the same with their FM radio reception?

General Comments:

This is a great car if you disregard the static received when listening to FM radio in areas of the CBD. It is powerful and fuel efficient at 7 liters per 100km in city driving, and has the most spacious interior in its class.
