1993 Nissan Skyline GTS-T 2.0L turbo

Summary:

Its reliable and comfortable unfortunately somewhat thirsty

Faults:

Fuel pump failed around 95,000Km

Electrical problem with headlights around 100,000K ended up being relay.

Alternator around 110,000K.

General Comments:

This car has reasonable performance in stock form, however, is not blisteringly quick. New cars have come a long way in terms of performance and as such although still resonable, will never be as quick as it was once regarded.

Handling is good in R32 style due to lower weight than R33.

Interior is good, although airbag would have been a good addition.

Still very reliable although it does seem thirsty at about 13L/100km.

1993 Nissan Skyline GT

Summary:

Cheap

Faults:

Automatic transmission is terrible, six months after the purchase of the car I had problems.

The third gear would slip and cause the engine to rev high then slam into gear.

Gradually got worse to the point were it felt like I was driving with the hand brake on, and the gas consumption got higher.

General Comments:

Bad body roll when cornering.

Under powered with a standard 2L engine.

Not much room in the back seats.

Small boot space.

Engine seemed strong never had any problems or oil leaks.

Air condition is strong and quick.

Good driving vision, no major blind spots.

Brakes pretty good considering the size of the car, never had problems.

Would I purchase again,... NO! would I recommend... NO! feels like a cheaply mass produced car no thought has gone into this car whilst in the design stage.

My recommendation is to purchase a second hand BMW or any other european made car.

You have no understanding of cars by what you have said.

Don't be harsh, he bought the Chinese version. You know, the one with the plastic motor, little square tires. Hah.

Seriously though, did you ever drive it. It would (no offense intended) leave a beemer on the block.

Summary:

One for the boys

Faults:

160,000 km and nothing to report other than minor cosmetic wear and tear (hand break cover, driver side door finishing, scratched around electric window controls.

General Comments:

I have given this car hell and nothing has broken, only things that wear out have been replaced (belts, brake pads, and a stupid amount of rear tires)

I've been running 12psi for over 100000km.this cars reliabilty is a tribute to Nissan.
