2010 Renault Kangoo Passenger 1.6 petrol

Summary:

Great practical Swiss army knife passenger van

Faults:

CV boots...

General Comments:

Actually really reliable. Bought with higher mileage, but had a new clutch by the previous owner. Brake pads done as well and cam belt in another 30,000km.

Drives like a van not a car, but that's to be expected. Acceleration is adequate rather than rapid, but ride quality and general refinement is very good. Quiet on the road.

Quite economical and the motor doesn't use or leak a drop of oil. Oil is as clean as new when time to change, so it's been serviced obviously and in excellent condition.

Gear change is good and long distance is no problem. Cruises well at 110 km per hour. Quite happy with it actually, and whilst not in love with it, I cannot part with it, as it's just so god damn versatile and practical that I know that as soon as I let it go, then I will regret it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Update... I have fallen in love with it... it's so Swiss Army Knife that I cannot imagine being without it. It's cheap to run... cheapish to insure... cheap numerous parts on Ebay. Even at the wreckers it's got parts galore. The hardish plastic interior is brilliant for just wiping down and forgetting for another year... The seats are comfortable and the handling and ride is not van like... it's more good SUV and predictable. Have fitted a tow bar and actually it tows well... don't notice the extra load when driving it which is a good sign... Overall it's actually like a part of me. And it's reliable as well which is something I notice from other reviews of this era or Renault... they really got their act together.
