2017 Suzuki Vitara 2WD 1.4 turbo petrol

Summary:

We would recommend this model for more mature people who require reliability and ease of access

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

This car we have owned for past 27 months, and we are really happy with its performance and reliability. It is a comfortable car to access and climb out of. Other cars we have previously owned were a little lower and awkward to exit. The fuel economy was stressed to us by the salesman, and we have been pleased at the kilometres covered each time we fill the tank! We have renewed the tyres recently.

We have also enjoyed the car’s visibility, and the rear camera assists us as we have to reverse out of our driveway onto our street. It is more than adequate on the open road, and the turbo engine assists when overtaking slower vehicles.

We have also found the navigation system is straightforward for senior citizens.

I beg to differ, we own a 2017 1.4 Turbo 2wd version and it drinks gas, it’s almost as bad as my 6.2 V8. We are greatly disappointed, we had a 2014 Nissan Qashqai and that had brilliant MPG. The Suzuki claims are ridiculous, we are getting rid of it after only owning it for 8 months.

1991 Suzuki Vitara JLX

Summary:

Trusty, reliable, and oh so cute!!!

Faults:

To get her on the road we had to get the CV joints done and brake pads adjusted, plus replace a side mirror. $A450.

Today we replaced the spark plug leads, which were extremely worn and making her pull and jerk. She is now running smooth as... $A45.

Air conditioning out needs refilling but at $A250... windows will suffice.

General Comments:

Upon purchase in August 2008 Suzi was in extremely good condition for her age, the interior very clean, and no marks or wearing on her seats. She looked even better with a cut and polish, which she has had done twice since I have owned her.

I personally think she handles well, she turns really easily, gives a quick response, to park we can squeeze in anywhere, extremely reliable and petrol wise no more expensive than my Toyota Celica.

Great view from open tinted windows - very safe - and as far as driving in the wet, like any 4wd, use common sense!!!

1997 Suzuki Vitara LXI 2.5V6

Summary:

A cracker 4WD

Faults:

Not a thing.

General Comments:

Great 4WD.

Goes well and no problems at all.

Not a sports car, but goes anywhere.

Reliable.

Cannot fault it for what it is used for-towing a jet boat all over New Zealand.
