2005 Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.9 TDI 115 HP

Faults:

I never had big problems, but there were problems like one of the headlights didn't work anymore, and the alarm shut down by itself.

General Comments:

One of the best cars for a family, business, or even just married.

In the city it uses 6-8 litres/100 km, on the autobahn it takes 4-5 ltr/ 100 km when riding at 140 km / hour!!

Absolutely good german car.

2001 Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.8 turbo diesel

Summary:

Very good if you have kids

Faults:

I got two electronic key fobs with the car and one failed in first year.

The front roll bar mountings have started to rattle (it sounds a bit like a faulty shock absorber, but isn't). I've just been to book it in and the dealer said it was a "well known" problem.

General Comments:

This is my first diesel and if they all go like this I would have another. Very pleased with fuel consumption.

We've had 5 adults + 2 babies (in car seats) AND a double buggy in ours no problem.

We looked at all the cars available in this class/price and it was the one that felt most like a car and less like a bus. The Renault Espace felt like a van in comparison.

There is an option that allows you to set different temperatures front and back.

Mine came with electric rear quarter windows as standard (see other review).
