2000 Fiat Bravo SX 1.9 JTD turbo diesel

Summary:

This is why it stands Fiat on Schumacher's car

Faults:

Bosch's MAF sensor failure, car didn't respond to throttle.

PK belt tensioner failure, then PK belt itself failed.

I needed a new clutch, new front suspension, new discs and some other expendable parts.

Poor headlights so you need special bulbs, I installed Osram Nightbreaker, after that I didn't need long beams.

General Comments:

This car won my heart with its exterior, you will never get tired looking at it, chassis and body are fairly well built, there are no traces of corrosion yet.

Interior materials are made of poor quality plastics, they need extra care especially around door handles where it has plenty of scratches, but it feels really good to be inside since it is beautifully designed.

The engine is the best part of the car, incredibly reliable and fast, I was able to drive to a mechanic when those failures took place.

Surprisingly quiet for its age, even after 200k it pulls perfectly well. Of course you need to step on it when overtaking.

It is equipped with ABS, power-steering, air conditioning, electric windows and it is cheap to buy and maintain, even for Bosnian standards. People here are obsessed with VWs so Fiat depreciates really fast. I am looking forward to my 150hp Bravo T-Jet in a year or two.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
