2009 Peugeot 308 SW 1.6 HDI turbo diesel

Summary:

Excellent family car

Faults:

Headlights several times - absolutely nothing else.

General Comments:

Got it brand new. Stylish interior and exterior for the price. Space is ample in the SW version - we are two adults and two little kids, plus a dog in the back. Sometimes we add a rooftop (when we go camping for example), but generally manage without.

Never had a break-down, have not replaced a single part on the powertrain or drivetrain. Contrary to the common bashing of the brand, my Peugeot has been absolutely reliable.

Consumption - right now I have 4.6l/100km during the last c.3000km. This is mostly highway, so a speed of 120-140km/hr. There is also some urban mileage, but very little out of town and not at highway speeds. Usually it is around 5/100.

Don't have much more to say - a solid, reliable car if you know how to take care of it.

2008 Peugeot 308 HDi Premium 1.6 HDi turbo diesel

Summary:

Perfect car for the town and out of it

Faults:

Light bulbs burned several times.

The boot wouldn't close every time from the first try.

General Comments:

The car is a perfect mixture between power, fuel consumption and dimensions. It's not a sport car, but it has enough power for everyday use.

It's not very hard to get over 50 mpg on this diesel version out of town. My maximum fuel consumption is 32 MPG, and the average - 42 MPG.

The quality of the cabin is exceptional for the value of the car. I love the design, but it's up to every individual.

The quality is exceptional, and for 3 years and 60,000 kilometers, I've only changed oil, filters and light bulbs.

I'd suggest this car to everyone as an alternative to Focus and Golf.
