2008 Fiat Panda Dynamic 1.3 Multijet

Summary:

Probably the best car Fiat has ever made, and the best car I've ever owned

Faults:

Squeak from driver's seat from delivery, was fixed at no cost.

Rusted rear seat brackets, recognized as manufacturing fault, fixed at no cost.

Clutch shudders a bit when it's cold out, only lasts for a km or so until the gearbox has warmed slightly.

General Comments:

I test drove all the small cars available at the time, and the Panda just stole my heart.

Gets 5L/100km or better, no matter how hard I drive it.

Very eager turbo diesel, it's obviously no sports car, but overtaking maneuvers etc. are handled with ease.

Has yet to let me down even once, even in the freezing cold.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I couldn't agree more.

I've just bought a Panda Multijet Dynamic on an 08-reg with 21k miles on the clock to replace a far larger 4x4 that was getting ridiculously expensive to run.

I was amazed at how good to drive a small car can be, I took it on a 200 mile round trip at the weekend, it was comfortable, economical and cruised at speed fine.

I got 50 MPG on my first tank (worked out properly on a calculator, the trip computer was reading 55 MPG), it does 100 MPH OK and I can get our Boxer dog and Dalmatian in the boot, great!

...with the seats folded down I guess...!!!

No, honestly, in the boot with the seats up, admittedly it's tight and I wouldn't do it for a long journey, but for short hops, they do go in!
