1999 Kia Shuma

Summary:

Not as fancy the first impression may tell you, but it's a very reliable and practical car

Faults:

Relatively low quality materials used in the interior, and it seems they've been careless about the finish (electric glass buttons and CD storage place have been broken or dislocated).

Electric side mirrors controller has stopped working several times, and needed to be changed constantly.

Generally poor quality and finish inside and outside, radio antenna and wipers have broken, and wipers replaced. Right sun visor is broken.

General Comments:

I'm impressed with the reliability of the engine, given that that Kia Motors was a relatively new company in the business, and it was expected that the car would completely break down after 10 years or more, but even now (after 13 years of almost everyday use) it hasn't let me down.

It's cheap to fix and maintain.

Very good-looking and loveable.

Not a very enjoyable car to drive; the seats are very low, however the instrument panel and the doors are relatively high, so that a driver who's not remarkably tall will face some difficulties trying to have a view of the street around him.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
