2002 Citroen Berlingo 1.6

Summary:

Nice and practical

Faults:

Some problems with the bearings.

The central locking ceased functioning some years ago.

The clutch and the exhaust pipe had to be replaced.

Some mostly minor things.

General Comments:

I like the car very much, especially for the space it provides. In not many cars is one for instance able to transport a bicycle or cross country skis so easily. Also it's quite nice to drive. There's no air conditioning in this individual, but even so, there's so much space inside and such large windows, that it helps a bit (as does the Finnish climate of course).

Considering the building quality, my expectations were probably a bit high after an extremely trustworthy Toyota. With this car I have learned about a number of car parts needing fixing, some of whose very existence I had earlier been quite unaware of.. Still, mostly minor faults. And rusting hasn't been a problem to speak about.

A practical car and fun to drive. Not everyone does seem to find it the most beautiful car around, but I find the looks quite sympathetic.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
