1991 Peugeot 309 iXLS 1.6

More for less

The self-adjusting system for the rear brakes just never works.

Interior is frequently falling apart.

Needs many oil changes.

General Comments:

The bright side is, it's a darn good "semi-sports car". I have noticed that not many cars with bigger engines stand a chance when my 309's on her best!!

Handling is outrageous when you lower her and stiffen her up.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

1991 Peugeot 309 GR 1.6i

Economical family car

Fuel cap didn't open in Winter. Glovebox locking system broke several times. Have driven over 100 000 km and all plastic parts of the car have started to make a noise.

General Comments:

Generally a good car if taken care of. Pretty good acceleration and economical. Very reliable. AND NO RUST AT ALL!!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I have a 1991 Peugeot 309 GR, and I think it is actually pretty quick. Even 20 years later, it gives most new cars a run for their money at the green lights.
