1992 Buick Park Avenue Base 3.8L

Summary:

A cheap, comfortable & dependable beater

Faults:

Water pump failed at 100 000km.

Tail light gasket is leaking a bit, and sometimes there's water in the trunk.

Remote trunk opening sometimes does not work.

General Comments:

Bought that car as a daily driver.

When I bought it, it sat for 8 years.

I use to drive in city long highway trips. Never let me down.

The Buick Park Avenue design is not best GM ever did, but I like it.

Interior is well made, comfortable and quiet. Many of my friends fall asleep on the highway.

This is not a fast car, but the ride is comfortable, and the engine has enough power in normal driving conditions.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

It is amazing news that these can be found in France - I wasn't aware of that. I did see one driving around in South Korea in 2006 when I was teaching there.
