1995 Peugeot 406 ST 1.8 gas

Summary:

Charming but unreliable

Faults:

Sometimes the motor stops running for about half a second, then it starts again. Sometimes it is impossible to start the motor.

The car has been in three different garages this summer. No one can find out what is wrong. The gasoline filter has been cleaned, and the gasoline pump has been changed.

General Comments:

When the motor is not malfunctioning, the car is just wonderful.

1999 Peugeot 406 ST HDI 2.0 HDI diesel (110 bhp)

Summary:

Sensible choice

Faults:

Blown headlamp bulb.

General Comments:

Good value for money.

Regularly drive 1200 kms in a day, and cruising comfort is excellent.

Excellent economy - about 55 imperial mpg (5.5 litres/100km) with very low cost servicing.

I have the same car, but only a 90pk HDi, it's OK, and drives very good, but what I want is a spoiler that flashes... so that's what I have to change.
