2007 Audi TT 3.2 Quattro

Summary:

A scalpel in the knife drawer of cars :-)

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

The day we picked it up in Mannheim, driving back to Stuttgart, I realized I was going 110 MPH; thought I was going about 70 MPH!

Drove it from Stuttgart to Venice, Italy 8, almost 9 hours -- in absolute comfort! My wife commented when we reached our destination she was more comfortable than if we had taken our Tahoe LT.

Quick and very agile. Fun and a pleasure to drive.

2000 Audi TT Roadster 1.8T

Summary:

An excellent blend of performance and economy!

Faults:

Temperature Gage malfunction.

Traction control sensor failed.

Airbag sensor failed.

All fixed under warranty.

General Comments:

The car is a wonderful blend of reliability, performance and economy. Driven conservatively I get over 30 miles per gallon. Even when the car is driven more aggressively it manages to deliver over 22mpg.

The seats are the least favorite thing in my car. Great lateral support, but not enough lumbar support. Otherwise ergonomics are excellent.

You're saying that 30/22 MPG is impressive? What decade are we living in again. My TT would probably return similar if I thrashed it all the time. In fact I probably am in a similar ballpark overall. I don't consider this to be anything to extol overall. I also own a Mitsi FTO MIVEC, which would most likely eat the Audi for breakfast, but driven lightly would return similar figures to a 1.5 Lancer...
