2005 Mitsubishi Colt Inform 5 door 1.3 petrol

Summary:

Would go for Toyota next time

Faults:

No mechanical problems with the car.

Passenger glove box broke within months of getting the car, and the dealer wanted 270 Euros(!!!) to replace it, claiming that I broke it (!!!), so it was not covered by guarantee.

Lots of noise from the interior.

General Comments:

Loads of interior space and removable rear seats like a mini MPV.

Great engine, but VERY noisy.

Thick front windscreen pillars hinder visibility when turning and exiting a junction.

Very quick and with very low fuel consumption. Decent road holding. Ride could be better.

Not terribly happy with the build quality; now that the car is almost 8 years old, it feels noisier than the 1988 Corolla it replaced.

2006 Mitsubishi Colt AMT Supreme 1.3

Summary:

Excellent quality with good value

Faults:

Everything is perfect, nothing to complain about.

General Comments:

I believe this is the best small car of its time!

See below and you will find why.

I read all the reviews about Mitsubishi before buying it. I have to admit that I was expecting less car than it is. Everyone here complains about the noise in the small Mitsu, but I think they are not right. I had a Nissan Micra K12, the new Micra, before the Mitsu, and I have to say that that was a really noisy car.

The Colt has a very efficient transmission system, which is very easy to learn, and I have to admit that it is very good on the road.

If anybody asks me, I say, BUY IT NOW.

2004 Mitsubishi Colt Inform Extra Pack AMT allshift 1.3

Summary:

Very Good

Faults:

No problems yet.

General Comments:

Very nice car. It feels like you drive a bigger car, you cannot possibly imagine it is 3.87 meters long.

Also it gives you the impression of being a well built car - made to last.

The engine gives enough power while the consumption is OK. Haven't test it with the air condition on yet.

It came with CD and 4 speakers - very nice indeed.

Best thing is the Allshift serial gearbox - with a cost of 800 extra euro, the easiest car to drive.

The only problem is the engine noise, which should be less.

2004 Mitsubishi Colt inform extra pack 1.3 petrol

Summary:

Not sure yet

Faults:

Very noisy. I am not sure if this is engine noise or exhaust noise. I personally like the noise (sounds like a sport car)

Thick windscreen pillars. Very Very annoying at left turns.

The rear view is also not very good you should always consider the side mirrors.

Suspension makes a bad noise on cracked roads. I will have to repair it very soon.

Some irritating crackles from the interior.

General Comments:

There is room for everyone in this car. AMAZING and is only 3.87m long-GREAT.

The handling is quite good.

The level of equipment is high even in the cheaper models.

Looks nice and solid from the inside and outside.

Excellent fuel economy.

I am not sure about the reliability of this car a lot of noises from the first 2 months.

Maybe everything is repaired in my next service.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Bad noise from suspension must be a general problem for new colt. I had one in Turkey. I went to service and even though suspension is not a warranty part, regarding to a service announcment, they changed the suspesion tower immediately, sound disappeared.

Yes, I agree with the previous comment; I, too, had the same noise from the suspension in Istanbul, Turkey, and the service stopped it immediately.
