1995 Jaguar XJR

Summary:

A great classic

Faults:

Tires blow out.

Headlight needed replacement.

Wiring loom needed replacement (expensive!)

General Comments:

Just love the comfort and performance. It is an occasion every time I drive it. The in line 6 is very smooth. It also draws a lot of interest from people. Interior design not all that good, but the leather is wonderful.

There are good well written reviews on here, but you have to look for them. Check the word count before clicking on a review. Anyways, I've never had a Jag but I have been in a friends one of these; they are very nice refined cars with plenty of power.

2005 Jaguar XJR 4.2 supercharged V8

Summary:

A hugely satisfying car to own and drive with beautiful looks and a terrific driving experience

Faults:

No faults. Still under factory warranty.

General Comments:

I have a black XJR with a red leather interior loaded with all the options. It has the optional wide 20 spoke alloys and sits low on the ground. It just looks superb and "malevolent".

It handles beautifully and the 4.2 V8 supercharged engine delivers blistering acceleration with huge pace, but in a smooth and refined manner.

Road holding is excellent and you get sports car performance with all the convenience and practicality of a large luxury saloon car.

Ride comfort is great and the ergonomics of the cabin are excellent.

Hong Kong has very steep hills, but the XJR just shrugs it all off with ease. Despite Hong Kong being stuffed full of exotic high performance cars the XJR gets lots of looks of admiration.
